As Maria said, "Let's start at the very begining..."

You obsess over it.
You research the crap out of it.
But what is "it" really? Lets learn some anatomy shall we?

To learn anatomy you'll need to know some directional terms. Don't worry its easy.

1. Proximal vs. Distal
Proximal: Closer to head
Distal: Further from head
"Your toes are more distal to head than the ankle."
"Your elbow is more proximal than your fingers."

2. Medial vs. Lateral
Medial: Closer to the mid line of the body
Lateral: Closer to the outer edge of the body
"Your Big toe is more medial than your Pinkie toe."
"Your eyes are more lateral than your noes."

3. Anterior vs. Posterior
Anterior: The front of the body in anatomical position
Posterior: The back of the body in anatomical position
"Your belly button is anterior to your spine."
"Your shoulder blade is posterior to your collar bone."

Anitomical Position:
Standing errect with palms facing foward.

We'll start with the bottom of the body and work our way up since the most frequent patient seen by sports doctors these day are runners.

Come on body. Get it together.

I'm injured. And I'm pissed.

Don't get me wrong. I've had a long (and fruitless) grieving stage.
But now I'm fed up. WHAT'S the DEAL, BOD? Like, what the hell?

I'm no longer frustrated. I'm ready to wake this body up and kick it into mechanical greatness.
Yes. I understand it will take at least as long as it took to get this injured. But DAMNIT. It is going to happen.

This blog will be a source for people like me fed up with BOD's misbehavior. It will combine motivational and informational tips in order to lasso their unruly injuries and get back to greatness.
